Yelan is a five-star rarity gacha character in Genshin Impact that you can obtain through an event banner. She is a hydro-vision character who uses a bow as her weapon. Yelan deals with a lot of DMG by her Elemental Burst, so using it first gives you max performance. Also, you can use her Elemental Skill to get Hydro Energy particle, and you can spam Yelan Normal Attack. Yelan’s Ability and Talents in Genshin

Normal attack: Stealthy Bowshot

Yelan performs up to 4 attacks in her normal attack, and in Charged attack, she does a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG. After holding charged shot for a few seconds, it will accumulate water on the arrowhead, dealing with Hydro DMG.

Breakthrough

When Yalen is out of combat for 5s, she will enter Breakthrough state, which will cause her next Charged Aim shot to have an 80% decreased charge time, and once charged, she fires Breakthrough Barb that deals AoE Hydro DMG based on Yelan max HP.

Elemental skill: Lingering Lifeline

When Yelen uses Elemental skills, she moves rapidly, entangling and marking opponents who are touched by her. If her rapid moment stops, the Lifeline will explode, dealing Hydro DMG to the marked opponents based on her max HP.

When you press her Elemental skill, she moves a certain distance forward swiftly. When you hold her Elemental skill, she engages in continuous, swift movements, during which her resistance to interruption increases. During this time, Yelan can control her rapid movement and end it by using her Elemental Skill again. There is a 34% chance to reset her Breakthrough state when opponents marked by Lifeline explode.

Elemental Burst: Depth-Clarion Dice

When Yelan uses her Elemental Burst, she deals with AoE Hydro DMG and creates an Exquisite Throw which helps her in battle.

About Exquisite Throw: It follows characters around who are in the field and will initiate an attack dealing with Hydro DMG based on Yelan Max HP. It occurs every second when a character uses a normal attack, and it will attack each time when Lifeline explodes.

Passive talent: Turn Control

When the party has different Elemental types, Yelan’s Max HP increases in the order of 1/2/3/4= 6%/12%/18%/30%.

Passive talent: Adapt with Ease

When you activate the Elemental burst of Yelan, your active character deals 1% more DMG every second, increasing by 3.6% every second, and it can reach a max of 50%. This effect will reset when Yelan Elemental Burst recasts.

The talent upgrade priority also equally matters for Yelan build in Genshin Impact, and this is what you want: Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack

Yelan is a character who can deal with a lot of DMG by being off the field, so you can use her as a support character. Emblem of severed fate (2) + Tenacity of the millelith (2): As Yelan needs to have enough energy and she scales off from her Max Hp, you can give her this set which is also a great option for her. Tenacity gives a 20% HP bonus and Emblem gives a 20% Energy Recharge.
Noblesse Oblige (4): This Artifact is best for Yelan as a support build in Genshin Impact to get a 20% DMG boost on Elemental Burst. When Elemental Burst is used, it gives all party members a 20% ATK boost which is a really great option.

Yelan’s Artifact stats and sub-stats priority in Genshin

As Yelan Scales off her Max HP, I suggest having 30K HP on her, and after that, you want to focus on her Crit Damage and Crit Rate.

For the Yelan Sand, you want to give her an HP%, which has Crit DMG and Crit Rate as its sub-stats. Similarly, As for the Yelan Goblet Cup, you want to give her Hydro DMG Bonus. For Yelan Circlet, You want to give her a Crit rate or Crit Damage which you are lacking to make a 1:2 Crit Ratio.

Yelan’s Best 4-star and 5-star Bow Weapons in Genshin

Aqua Simulacra is the signature bow of Yelan in Genshin Impact and the best for her build due to its main stats and sub-stats. It has nearly 90% Crit DMG, which is really great for her personal DMG, and its sub-stats increase her MAX HP by 16% and DMG buff of 20%, so it is the best weapon for Yelan.

Elegy for the End is also a good 5-star weapon for Yelan as it has Energy Recharge as its main stats, and it increases the Elemental Mastery Points of all the party members. So as a support character, this 5-star bow works best on Yelan in Genshin.

Another best five-star weapon for Yelan is Polar Star if she lacks Crit Rate due to its main stats being Crit Rate. As its sub stats increases her Elemental Skill and Elemental Brust DMG by 12% and increases character ATK% up to 48%

Skyward Harp is also a great weapon for Yelan as its main stat is Crit Rate, and its sub-stats increases character Crit DMG by 20%, which is also really nice and will increase her overall DMG so you can go for it also.
